Welcome to Red Frog Fitness

Hi, my name is Charles and I am the founder of Red Frog Fitness in Brisbane. I started this outdoor group fitness bootcamp business in 2013 to combine my love for the outdoors and my passion for a fun, energetic and active lifestyle.
Through my own experiences, I believe I can help you to achieve your fitness goals. I have been overweight. I have had debilitating injuries. I understand the challenges of living with chronic pain. I have a love for beer and wine and the ‘naughty’ foods that cause so many day-to-day temptations.
I also understand how getting fit and strong, physically and mentally, can help you to conquer all the challenges life throws at you. I love exercising outdoors and in groups and I want to transfer my passion to others.
It occurred to me the other day that most people don’t know why I created Red Frog Fitness nearly 4 years ago. So I wanted to share with you a bit about my background and what led me to where I am today.
I created Red Frog Fitness in 2013 after more than 20 years working in the corporate world, both here and overseas. After being very active in my younger years, the 20 years sitting behind a desk nearly wrecked my body.
I’m sure you know the story, limited spare time, long hours, putting yourself last and suddenly you turn around and you are older, weaker, fatter, slower and less healthy than you every intended to be.
In 2009, my world was turned upside down. I was cutting the grass one weekend and bent down to empty the grass catcher and the discs in my lower back ruptured and I required major surgery. You can see the results in the photo below… Four screws in my back holding L5 & S1 together.
Two years later and I had put on 20kgs and I was still in significant pain and discomfort and I knew I had to take serious steps or I would have to live in chronic pain for the rest of my life.
After extensive research and consultation I formulated an exercise and diet program to build my strength and body resilience from the core out. Research shows the foundations of body strength must be built from the core for long term body transformation, improving metabolism and activating muscle strength for weight loss. This formula transformed my body so that I could not only have the strength for exercising, but also in day to day life and no longer live with chronic pain. Physical strength and resilience in your daily activity – not just during exercise – transforms your entire life… as it did mine.
Soon after this, I quit the Corporate World and Red Frog Fitness was born. It changed my life and as a result I have a real passion to work with others to help and motivate them to change theirs.
I know this works.  This is not a fad.  This is not a gimmick.  This is the change in lifestyle you have been looking for. I know I can help you get started to uncover the body, fitness and strength you want and the health you need. This now puts me in a pretty cool position… to be able to do something very special for YOU!

Red Frog Fitness was founded in 2013 by Charles O’Reilly, our Head Trainer, to combine his love for the outdoors and his passion for a fun, energetic and active lifestyle.
Charles has been overweight. He has had debilitating injuries. He understands the challenges of living with chronic pain. He also understands how getting fit and strong, physically and mentally, can help you to conquer all the challenges life throws at you.
Red Frog Fitness is much more than training sessions. We are a community of dedicated and motivated people, who prefer to train outdoors and strive to improve their health and fitness without judgement, in a relaxed and supportive environment.
We make achieving your health and fitness goals easier and fun, fully supported by like-minded people and qualified and encouraging trainers.
We train in an inspiring environment outside Suncorp Stadium, with plenty of cover for shade and wet weather. Stairs, chairs and bars are incorporated into sessions every week to mix things up.
We offer 4 types of training (HIIT, Cardio, Boxing & Strength), 5 days a week to ensure you are never bored and your body is always challenged. We modify every session to cater for all fitness levels and can cater for injuries and all running abilities.

To break it down for you, we just don’t train people, we just don’t turn up to sessions and motivate them; we literally inspire them to be better people!
We want to make health and fitness part of your life, part of who you are; either for the first time in a long time or the first time ever.
We find ways that will constantly have them stimulated, achieving results and more importantly, coming back!
